Fed up with nuisance telephone calls?

Sick of being disturbed by unwanted advertising calls?

See how you can block those unwanted calls…

If you live in France and receive unwanted telephone calls on a regular basis, you can register for free to block them.

blocking unwanted calls

Here is a step by step explanation in English to put your name down on this safe government registered web site:

Follow this link:

then click on

« Vous êtes un consommateur ».

Click on « Inscription »

Click on « démarrez votre inscription »

Enter your email address twice

Create a password then confirm the password

Click on Monsieur or Madame

Enter your surname, then first name, your phone numbers (land line then mobile)

Please note you can only enter French phone numbers.

Your address

Then the phone number you wish to block (Numéro personnel)

Tick the box « Je certifie avoir lu et accepté »

Enter the letters and numbers for the ‘Anti robot’

Finally, click on « Valider le formulaire »

Once you have registered you will receive an email confirming your registration. (check your spam!).

To finalise your registration, you need to click on the link they will send you and click on ‘ici’:

“pour finaliser votre inscription, vous devez impérativement confirmer la réception de ce courriel en cliquant ICI ».

That’s it, as simple as that! No more calls about double glazing whilst you are having your lunch!

It takes about 4 weeks for calls to stop. You will be on this list for 3 years. After the 3 years you will receive an email asking if you wish to renew your registration.

I registered a few months ago myself, and I still get a few calls. However when I mention I am on ‘Bloctel’, callers put the phone down on me! They know I can make a formal complaint and they can get fined up to €75 000.

Even if you don’t speak much French, just mention the magic word ‘bloctel’ and the callers will leave you alone!

Dear Sir/Madam,
Many thanks indeed for this information, really helpful.
I have a question:
After I put in the address it asks for the numbers you wish to block but only allows you to input 8 I have a lot more than this how can I input the extra?
Kind regards
Ken Robinson

    HI Ken
    Hi Ken,

Have you tried to do it from scratch as French numbers have 10 digits indeed.

There might be a problem with their system?
